Making a 3D scene from a sketch -figurative-

Terrain
part 2




The terrain as it is seen in Bryce in a quick render.


Imported into the Map Editor in Carrara (as bmp). It doesn't work. It remains too flat -even scaling the height up- and, on top, it displays the terrain with unwanted layers. Let's start again.


The terrain has been imported (as *.pgm from Bryce) into GeoControl.

The same terrain -in GeoControl- with added noise.From GeoControl, it will be exported as *.raw to Carrara. These renderings were made in GeoControl - a really nice terrain generator.

Here we are in Carrara. The terrain has been imported -via Map Editor-. From Top view, it is possible to see the camera and a golden arrow (Light). To the right, the terrain appears with a Default shader (the shiny grey).
